Breaking news : Arsenal boss ready to resigning their ex gunner star player with the help of Fabrizio’s report

Arsenal has reportedly shown interest in re-signing Ismael Bennacer, according to Italian media sources.

The Algerian midfielder has had a difficult season at AC Milan, having been out due to injury until December. Despite this setback, Bennacer has successfully reestablished himself in Stefano Pioli’s squad and has become a key player for the Rossoneri.

However, AC Milan is planning significant changes in the upcoming summer transfer window.
With Olivier Giroud likely leaving for LAFC, the club needs to bolster its attacking options, especially in the striker position. Consequently, Milan has been actively looking for suitable forwards in the market.

Acquiring top-quality strikers typically comes with a high price tag, prompting the club to find ways to generate funds. Bennacer has emerged as a potential asset whose sale could significantly boost AC Milan’s finances.

His situation has attracted interest from clubs across Europe, with Arsenal reportedly among those keeping a close eye on him. Despite selling him to Empoli for just €1 million in 2017, Arsenal continues to hold the midfielder in high esteem.

Although Bennacer had limited first-team opportunities during his time at Arsenal, discussions about a possible return to the Emirates Stadium are underway, with Arsenal positioned as the frontrunners among potential Premier League suitors.

It’s important to note that Bennacer’s current contract includes a release clause set at €50 million, which remains valid until 2027.

While this amount represents a significant investment, it is a more cost-effective option compared to other defensive midfield targets previously linked to Arsenal, such as Martin Zubimendi and Amadou Onana, whose valuations exceed €60 million.
