Ten or more Liverpool players will be absent from this Carabao Cup final matchup with Chelsea.
Due to injuries, star players including Dominik Szoboszlai, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez, Curtis Jones, and Mohamed Salah are all not playing.
Legendary Newcastle United player Alan Shearer believes that Chelsea should play Liverpool right now and is betting on penalties to end the match.
“I think it could be a really close affair and go the whole distance, maybe even penalties again,” Shearer stated.
“I guess from Chelsea’s perspective, if that is the truth with the problems they have, it might be a nice moment to play Liverpool. We’re hearing about a lot of injuries with Liverpool.
“That being said, they still have a few quality players who can step in and cover.”
