Roy Keane has predicted that Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes will take a huge blow this weekend when they take on Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
The Gunners travel to their title rivals on Sunday afternoon (4.30pm) knowing they will move four points clear of the defending champions with victory.
However, the north Londoners have failed to win on the blue side of Manchester side 2015 and many have backed Pep Guardiola’s men to be victorious to blow the title race wide open.
Keane, who won seven Premier League titles throughout his time at Manchester United, has insisted that Arsenal’s 20-year wait to be crowned champions of England could continue this season.
“This is big boy stuff now,” he said on The Overlap. “Arsenal are not winning there. Arsenal are not winning at Man City. I’m going 2-1 City. Arsenal aren’t winning there. You’re all getting kidded, I’m telling you.”
Keane’s adamant prediction was not met with the same stance as Arsenal legend Ian Wright, who has backed the Gunners to win at the Etihad Stadium.
“We’re going to beat them,” Wright said. “You know why I’m saying that? Because we have to beat them.
Why should I not think we can win when we’ve got a great defensive record and we’re scoring goals? Why should I now go negative on our chances?
