Luis Enrique disagrees with the PSG transfer hint while Kylian Mbappe delivers a cryptic message to Arsenal and Chelsea

Kylian Mbappe has put the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea on red alert with a cryptic post on social media. The Paris Saint-Germain star faces an uncertain future in the French capital, with his contract at Les Parc des Princes set to expire at the end of the season.

Clubs are currently eligible to begin pre-contract talks with Mbappe over a free transfer following the expiration of his deal. After choosing not to sell the France international in January, the Parisians are now in a race against time to agree a new contract otherwise they will lose out on millions in potential transfer fees.

With the forward yet to pen an extension and the summer transfer window on the horizon, he looks increasingly likely to leave – even more so now following his latest activity on social media. Mbappe was hooked by Luis Enrique during PSG’s clash against Marseille on Sunday night.

Shortly after the hour-mark, Goncalo Ramos replaced the Frenchman and later doubled his side’s lead to wrap up all three points. Mbappe was far from happy and pulled off the captain’s armband as he departed the field – a moment which he uploaded to his Instagram profile with no caption.

The post racked up almost three million likes in less than 16 hours, with hundreds of Real Madrid fans urging him to join Carlo Ancelotti’s side. Speaking to reporters after the game, Enrique was quizzed on his decision to substitute Mbappe during ‘Le Classique‘ – one of the most-watched games in French football.

“It’s the same music every single week, the same music… it’s so boring,” the Spaniard told Prime Video. “I am the manager, I make the decisions every day, every week.

“I am going to do the same until my last day in Paris. I always try to find the best solution for my team. Even if you don’t (understand the decision), I don’t care. I don’t care at all.”

Mbappe has completed 90 minutes just once in PSG’s last six games. Despite the French giants’ dwindling reliance on the forward, Enrique remains hopeful that he’ll sign a new contract at Les Parc des Princes.

“Me, I’ve always remained hopeful that Kylian could change his mind – he hasn’t said anything for now,” said Enrique ahead of the weekend’s game against Marseille. “He could change his mind. Imagine if we win four trophies this season and Kylian Mbappé decides at the last minute that he wants to stay in Paris. Why not, we will see.”
