Building on their pivotal 3-1 triumph over league leaders Liverpool a week earlier, Mikel Arteta’s squad swiftly seized control, storming to a commanding 4-0 lead in the first half against the Hammers.
Odegaard showcased his playmaking prowess by setting up Arsenal’s fourth goal, expertly converted by Leandro Trossard.
While Saka earned the Man of the Match accolade, Odegaard stood out as one of many exceptional performers for Arsenal in their record-breaking Premier League away triumph.
Reflecting on Arsenal’s stellar team effort, which propelled them to within two points of league leaders Liverpool, Odegaard expressed his satisfaction: “It was a really good game and strong performance… I liked the performance and the mentality of the team.”
With seven goals and six assists in 30 appearances this season, Odegaard expressed his joy in contributing to Arsenal’s success: “I’m happy to contribute to scoring goals and to winning games… when we play like we did today, I think it’s easier for everyone to shine as well.”
