According to reports, Real Madrid is interested in Arsenal’s 26-year-old Brazilian international Gabriel Jesus.
Gabriel Jesus is reportedly of interest to Real Madrid, according to the Spanish daily Fichajes. The 26-year-old midfielder for Arsenal was coveted by the Spanish powerhouses prior to his transfer from Manchester City to the Emirates, and they have rekindled their interest in him in advance of the summer transfer deadline in 2024.
Gabriel Jesus has had rapid growth since coming to England over seven years ago. The Brazilian international has not fared well in the Premier League despite being a highly regarded striker for Palmeiras. That didn’t stop Arsenal from paying almost €50 million to get him for the 2022–2023 campaign, though.
Jesus recently stated that he does not consider goal scoring to be his “strong suit,” which infuriated both supporters and commentators.
Nonetheless, the former Manchester City striker is still well-liked by prospective supporters despite his apparent flaws.
Since then, his market value has increased to €75 million, and Real Madrid is one of his suitors.
Before Jesús moved to Arsenal, Real Madrid was already interested in him because Carlo Ancelotti thought highly of him.
But the Gunners pulled him away from Manchester City, thus the trade never happened. Nevertheless, despite his lack of success in the championship game, Real Madrid is still interested in the 26-year-old.
When the Frenchman joined Al Ittihad last summer, Karim Benzema was replaced by no one at Madrid.
Therefore, even if the striker is not clinical and productive, it is still reasonable that they invest in him. The Merengues also need to recruit another player because Kylian Mbappe is no longer a possibility.
Real Madrid now has Gabriel Jesus as a target. But considering how important the 26-year-old Arsenal midfielder is to Mikel Arteta’s plans, signing him will be a significant task. It will be interesting to watch if the relocation actually happens in the upcoming year.
